Access Audits
Access audits are now identified in the Code of Practice for Part III of the Equality Act as the best tool for the planned improvement of accessibility of services and premises. Access auditing involves an inspection of a building to appraise its accessibility.
The Tactile Group will be pleased to undertake an access audit of your premises using a member of our team of experienced consultants. We will prepare a report detailing improvements recommended to bring accessibility in line with current Standards and Guidelines.
Tactile (Southern) Ltd is the UK consultancy division of the Tactile Group, and supplies everything customers need to provide improved access within the meaning and legal implications of the Equality Act 2010. This also includes the needs considered by the Local Government Management Board and the Departments of Environment, Education and Social Services to provide the reasonable adjustments required under the Act.
Tactile (Southern) Ltd has an experienced team of auditors and consultants who are able to give advice on all matters relating to the Equality Act Legislation. The team of consultants brings together a range of built environment professionals with expertise in access to offer services which include Access Audits and Design Appraisals. We can offer Accessible design expertise which has developed from many years of research, sourcing information from all relevant organisations including the British Standard Institute (BSI).
“Despite many hiccups regarding funding Tactile Signs were prepared to work at their own risk to ensure that this project was eventually able to commence on site. Much thanks for this.
Depending on future funds being made available I would fully expect to be placing further orders with tactile.”
